Aleicha Ostler is the founder of Invent Learning Hub. She is passionate about learning that equips students to be capable citizens, empowered to use their voices, and motivated to seek a bright future. She also loves empowering families to be a part of this educational journey with their children. Through her fellowship with The Mind Trust it is her goal to offer a school model in Indianapolis that is innovative and empowers youth and families. Her goal is to open Invent Learning Hub on the Southeast side of Indianapolis.
Ostler spent 16 years working in various capacities at IPS. She worked in teaching and leadership positions at Otis E. Brown School 20 and Eleanor Skillen School 34. As principal of Frederick Douglass School 19, she led the school from an “F” to an “A” on the state’s accountability measures and transitioned to a SUPER School magnet program.
She attended IUPUI, where she earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in education, the latter through the Urban Principals Leadership program. She is currently taking classes through IUPUI to earn a certification in design thinking which will be applied to the Invent Learning Hub model.
